Job Description
Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of highways and infrastructure schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and implementation.
- Assist in the preparation of design information, including:
- Horizontal and vertical alignments
- Junction layouts
- Cross-sections and typical details
- Technical reports
- Respond to technical queries on live construction projects.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering (Minimum grade 2:1)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Ability to use industry software such as AutoCAD
- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams
- Enthusiastic to learn new skills and develop within a team environment
- Keen interest in highways design
- Graduate member of ICE – With aspirations to gain full membership (IEng or CEng)
- Knowledge of relevant design standards, preferable but not essential
- Industry experience including placement year is desirable but not essential
