Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and delivery of highways and infrastructure schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and implementation.
  • Assist in the preparation of design information, including:
    • Horizontal and vertical alignments
    • Junction layouts
    • Cross-sections and typical details
    • Technical reports
  • Respond to technical queries on live construction projects.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering (Minimum grade 2:1)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to use industry software such as AutoCAD
  • Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Enthusiastic to learn new skills and develop within a team environment
  • Keen interest in highways design
  • Graduate member of ICE – With aspirations to gain full membership (IEng or CEng)
  • Knowledge of relevant design standards, preferable but not essential
  • Industry experience including placement year is desirable but not essential
