Bid Writer

We are working with a leading international technical engineering and construction partner operating across the UK, Ireland and Mainland Europe. This Tier 1 main contractor specialises in delivering complex design and build projects for end user clients within the Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Data Centre and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.

Due to continued growth within their Pre-Construction team, they are now seeking a Bid Writer to join their Kent office.

The Role

• The Bid Writer will support the tendering and business development process by writing proposals, tenders and marketing material for upcoming and live tender applications.
• Along with supporting the marketing function with writing material.
• You will work closely with estimators, planners, project managers, designers and commercial teams to coordinate all aspects of the bid process. This is a highly organised and detail-driven role within a fast-paced pre‑construction environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bid writing role, ideally within construction or the built environment.
• Strong organisational and creative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with InDesign or similar tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of construction terminology and tendering processes.
