Interim Soft FM Manager

Based in Kent, hybrid working

Length: 3 months with possible extension

IR35 status: Inside

As Soft Services Manager, you will oversee the delivery and performance of all soft FM services, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for visitors, staff, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in driving service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all soft FM services including cleaning, security, waste management, and guest services
  • Ensure consistently high standards of presentation, hygiene, and customer experience across the site
  • Monitor service performance, driving continuous improvement and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Manage third-party contractors and service partners, ensuring performance and value for money
  • Support the planning and delivery of major events, ensuring seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and environmental best practices
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety requirements, and company policies
  • Develop team capability through effective leadership, coaching, and training programmes
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact for all soft services matters

About You

  • Proven experience managing soft FM services within a complex or high-footfall environment
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams
  • Experience managing contractors and multi-service delivery models
  • Good understanding of health & safety, compliance, and safe systems of work
  • The ability to plan and deliver services in live/event-driven environments
