We are recruiting a Mixed Tax Manager on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy practice in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA-qualified Tax Manager to join a growing tax team, working closely with the Tax Director on a broad range of advisory projects across both Corporate Tax and Private Client Tax.
The role offers exposure to owner-managed businesses, high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and corporate groups, with a strong focus on advisory work.
The Role
Working alongside the Tax Director, you will deliver a broad range of tax advisory services, including:
- Managing mixed tax advisory projects for owner-managed businesses and private clients
- Preparing high-quality tax advisory reports and technical advice
- Advising on corporate restructures, shareholder planning, and remuneration strategies
- Supporting Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning
- Advising on business succession and tax-efficient structures
- Providing technical support on HMRC enquiries and disclosures
- Undertaking tax research and applying legislation to client scenarios
- Liaising with clients and internal teams to deliver practical tax solutions
- Supporting complex tax compliance work when required
- Contributing to the development of junior team members and technical best practice
About You
You’ll have:
- CTA qualification with post-qualified tax experience
- Strong UK Corporate Tax and/or Private Client Tax advisory experience
- Experience preparing technical tax reports and written advice
- Knowledge of owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- A proactive and commercially focused approach
Experience across both Corporate and Private Client Tax is desirable, although candidates with a stronger specialism in either area are encouraged to apply.
