We are currently seeking a highly skilled and committed Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our client’s mental health service in Sheffield, Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well‑established team, providing expert psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. The role is available on a locum basis with an immediate start and offers competitive rates.

Responsibilities

As a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry, you will:

  • Provide high‑quality psychiatric care to patients within community and inpatient settings.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and manage mental health conditions.
  • Contribute to care planning and support recovery‑focused treatment.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Apply strong understanding of mental health legislation and work autonomously while contributing to team‑based care.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Full GMC registration – essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in psychiatry.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Commitment to patient‑centred care and service improvement.
