We are currently seeking a highly skilled and committed Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our client’s mental health service in Sheffield, Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well‑established team, providing expert psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. The role is available on a locum basis with an immediate start and offers competitive rates.
Responsibilities
As a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry, you will:
- Provide high‑quality psychiatric care to patients within community and inpatient settings.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and manage mental health conditions.
- Contribute to care planning and support recovery‑focused treatment.
- Participate in clinical meetings, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
- Apply strong understanding of mental health legislation and work autonomously while contributing to team‑based care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full GMC registration – essential.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in psychiatry.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Commitment to patient‑centred care and service improvement.
