Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated Family Solicitor with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience to join a well-established Family Law team.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of privately and publicly funded family matters, with a particular focus on legal aid work. This role would suit a solicitor who is passionate about family law and committed to providing high-quality legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advising and representing clients in:
    • Domestic abuse matters
    • Private children proceedings
    • Non‑molestation and occupation order applications
    • Divorce and separation matters
    • Financial remedy proceedings
  • Conducting advocacy where appropriate.
  • Preparing court applications, witness statements and other legal documents.
  • Maintaining compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and professional standards.
  • Delivering excellent client care and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • 1–3 years’ PQE in family law.
  • Experience managing a family law caseload.
  • Good working knowledge of legal aid procedures and funding requirements.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • Experience in both public and private family law matters.
  • Family Law Accreditation or a willingness to work towards accreditation.
  • Advocacy experience within the Family Court.
