Job Description:

We’re looking for a Software Implementation Specialist to join an innovative technology business operating within the healthcare sector. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing technical team, delivering software solutions that support life‑saving operations.

This customer‑facing role combines software implementation, technical support, and customer training, ensuring clients successfully deploy and utilise specialist software within highly regulated environments. You’ll work closely with both customers and internal teams to deliver smooth implementations and provide ongoing technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of specialist software solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot software and instrument integration issues.
  • Configure and maintain supporting infrastructure, including Windows Server and database environments.
  • Assist with the integration of laboratory and analytical instruments using technologies such as RS232, USB, Ethernet, and COM ports.
  • Deliver customer training and guide users through successful software implementations.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and system configuration activities.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.
  • Participate in software validation activities within regulated environments.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their requirements and providing effective technical solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK, with occasional opportunities for European and international travel.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience supporting software applications and hardware environments.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer‑first approach.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, server environments, and database technologies.
  • The confidence to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative technical team.
  • Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
  • Instrument integration via Serial, USB, or Ethernet connections.
  • GMP, GAMP, or software validation within regulated industries.
  • Delivering end‑user training and software demonstrations.
  • A full UK driving licence.
