Duty Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to oversee our security, cleaning and customer services teams on site.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and inspire teams in delivering security, cleaning and customer services.
- Operational duty management of soft services for Teesside Park and successful management, coordination and delivery of the contract related to onsite cleaning, security, maintenance and reception.
- Ensure high level service delivery across all operations provision including security, cleaning, maintenance and customer service, being flexible to meet the changing operational needs on a continual basis.
- Suggest new initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and best practice are delivered.
- Manage sickness and absence following the correct company protocol, managing cover as and when needed.
- Conduct interviews and oversee the onboarding of new employees, including site inductions.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the team to ensure the required standards of delivery are met.
- Carry out Health & Safety and pre-open/close patrols across all areas of the site.
- Manage and implement cleaning schedules, and complete weekly cleaning audits.
- Ensure correct usage of cleaning materials in line with COSHH regulations, ensuring minimal waste and sufficient stocks are always maintained.
- This is a salaried role and requires you to be on call.
Qualifications
- Experience in leading teams of approximately 10 employees ranging from cleaning, waste and security controllers.
- Experience working within a retail environment is advantageous.
- Previous experience working within security at a senior level is essential.
- Cleaning experience is desirable as you will be responsible for both the security and cleaning teams.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and HR legislation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Competency with Microsoft packages including Teams, Excel and Word.
- SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licences are preferred; training can be provided.
Shift Pattern
Working 5 days over a 7 day period. This can sometimes include weekends.
