The Role

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security threats across the organisation’s infrastructure and systems.

  • Monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents.
  • Managing and optimising EDR/MDR platforms.
  • Supporting the administration and maintenance of firewall technologies.
  • Monitoring and analysing IDS/IPS solutions.
  • Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation activities.
  • Assisting with incident response investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Supporting security improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Producing security reports, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Working closely with infrastructure and IT teams to ensure security best practices are embedded across the business.

About You

We’re looking for an individual with a strong technical understanding of cyber security technologies and a proactive approach to threat management.

You will ideally have experience with:

  • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) solutions.
  • Firewall administration and security policy management.
  • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Vulnerability scanning and management tools.
  • Security incident investigation and response.
  • Threat monitoring and analysis.
  • Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365 and Azure security tools (desirable).
  • Security frameworks and best practices.
