Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Competitive
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 (45min break) and Friday 08:00 to 16:00 (30min break)

Overall objectives
We seek to appoint an Administrator to join our busy and expanding team within McQuillan Environmental.

This role will require someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, a commercial approach and demonstrable attention to detail. The successful candidate will report to Senior Management and must be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication & inter personal skills. Key responsibilities:
Reporting & Finance Support
- Compile and maintain accurate records for management and financial reporting.
- Provide data and summaries to assist with monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Compile customer waste reports.
Transport & Operational Support
- Input, maintain, and monitor data in our transport management software.
- Work closely with drivers and operations staff to ensure accurate information flow.
Customer Service
- Act as a first point of contact for customers over the phone and via email.
- Handle booking enquiries, and resolve queries in a professional manner.
- Maintain a high standard of customer care to support repeat business.
General Administration
- Maintain organised filing systems (digital and paper).
- Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, and other office tasks.
- Support the wider team with ad hoc duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum GCSE grade A – C (English & Maths or IT)
- Previous experience in similar role will be advantageous, but not essential or 2+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
- Demonstrated initiative and high levels of energy
- Excellent communication skills and work ethics
- Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads whilst prioritising
- Full, clean driving license
