A major public sector organisation is seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee delivery across a large-scale technology programme. You will work directly with multiple engineering squads, coordinating delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring programme-level risk, dependencies, and priorities are kept in check.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technical workstreams across multiple squads within a large programme
• Own risk, issue, and dependency management at programme level, escalating appropriately
• Translate technical architecture and integration designs into clear delivery plans and actions
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and hybrid delivery processes across distributed teams
• Maintain senior stakeholder communication, reporting, and governance cadence
• Manage programme interdependencies and cross-team coordination
• Drive delivery using tools including Jira and/or Azure DevOps
• Identify and resolve blockers impacting velocity or quality of delivery

Required Skills (Must-Have)

• 10+ years of technical project management experience
• Proven background in software engineering delivery, systems integration, or technology programmes
• Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery models
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tooling
• Demonstrable expertise in risk, issue, and dependency management
• Experience managing multiple technical squads or large-scale programmes simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills at senior level

Nice to Have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications
• Background in software engineering or systems architecture
• Experience in distributed or global delivery environments
• Public sector or regulated environment experience
