Business Development Manager Premium Flooring Products North East Region £35,000 – £45,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission + Company Car Are you a driven field sales professional who loves winning new business, building relationships and being out on the road? Do you thrive in a role where you can genuinely influence customers rather than competing purely on price?

We are recruiting for a well-established UK manufacturer of premium flooring products who are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to develop and grow their North East territory.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service within the flooring industry.

The role is a true mix of new business development and account management, although the key focus is very much on growing the territory and winning new customers.

The Role

Covering the North East region, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing new business opportunities across your territory
  • Managing and growing an existing customer base
  • Building relationships with flooring retailers, trade customers and commercial clients
  • Conducting customer visits, presentations and product demonstrations
  • Promoting premium products and confidently selling on value rather than price
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales and market share
  • Managing your own diary and territory effectively
  • Representing the business professionally within the marketplace

This is a field-based role where relationship building, resilience and strong communication skills are essential.

The Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys being customer-facing and developing long‑term business relationships.

You may currently be working within:

  • Flooring
  • Interiors
  • Building products
  • Construction products

However, industry experience is less important than attitude, personality and sales ability.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience within field sales
  • Confidence presenting to customers face-to-face
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • The ability to overcome objections and sell premium products
  • High levels of self‑motivation and organisation
  • Professional presentation and commercial awareness

The Package

  • £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary DOE
