Court of Protection Solicitor / Legal Executive

Location: Fareham

Experience: 1-5 PQE

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Full Remuneration Package: £45,000-£60,000 DOE

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience or a strong interest in Court of Protection work to join a supportive and collaborative team that provides specialist advice to vulnerable individuals, their families and appointed deputies.

The Role

You will assist with a broad range of Court of Protection matters, including:

  • Deputyship applications to the Court of Protection
  • Financial deputyship matters and ongoing administration
  • Assisting with annual deputyship reports and compliance requirements
  • Statutory Will applications
  • Matters involving care fees and local authority funding
  • Advising families and individuals where a loved one has lost capacity
  • Supporting clients through complex and often sensitive circumstances with empathy and professionalism

The team acts on a wide variety of Court of Protection matters and provides long-term support to vulnerable clients and their families.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Ideally 1-5 years’ PQE
  • Experience within Court of Protection, Private Client or related areas would be advantageous
  • Strong client care and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently whilst contributing positively to a wider team
  • Professional, empathetic and committed to delivering outstanding client service
