Location: Bangor area, north Wales / remote

Join the team at Medacs as a Clinical or Health Psychologist to support children living with diabetes. HCPC-registered Clinical or Health Psychologist with at least one year post-qualification and solid experience in health settings, especially in diabetes care, is invited to apply.



What we’re looking for



  • Experience working with paediatric populations, either during training or post-qualification.

  • Ideally, hands-on experience supporting children with diabetes.

  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality psychological care.

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical or Health Psychologist.

  • At least one year post-qualification and experience in health settings, especially diabetes care.



Your role will include



  • Assessing psychological needs of children currently on our child health waiting list (e.g., around 20 children).

  • Delivering tailored psychological interventions—from brief psychosocial support to evidence-based therapies like CBT or ACT, aligned with national guidelines.

  • Providing consultation to the multidisciplinary team (MDT), including diabetes nurses and medics, through case discussions or joining clinic sessions remotely.

  • Remote delivery can be accommodated where appropriate, with face-to-face sessions preferred when possible.
