We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team based at our Trinity House, Newcastle site. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company. Working Pattern: 17 hours per week 2 working days out of 7 8:30am – 5pm Rewards: 20 days’ annual leave Company Pension Scheme Employee Assistance Program to support your health & wellbeing Financial Education/Financial wellbeing advisory service Company Events The Role: Assist in the preparation, service and sales of all food and beverages for the unit Preparation of service counter Provide the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to anyone who uses the facility Work as part of the team to ensure service is delivered on time and a to a consistently high standard Carry out all cleaning duties as per instruction from line manager or per unit cleaning rota Ensure kitchen and service areas are always clean and tidy Clear rooms of any trays. Be responsible for cash handling duties under your control Keep up to date with current promotions and new products Comply with all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards Comply with all HACCP regulations as necessary Follow procedures as directed on the correct handling and use of all cleaning materials. Complete any administration as requested which may include recording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules, cashing up tills and recording daily sales figures Assist with effective management of stock control The Person: Demonstrable passion for providing good customer service Excellent communication skills Flexibility and adaptability Good navigation and time management Workable knowledge of HACCP regulations Basic food hygiene certificate Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
