Here at ISS, as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we are looking to recruit a Senior Technical/Technical Director to lead Hard Services across one of our largest, Key Accounts across the UK. This is a fantastic, high profile role for an ambitious and established Hard FM Leader.

The customer are in government, and their estate is truly massive, consisting of 100s of sites across the UK, some of which are smaller, more simple buildings, and others are much larger and more complex corporate offices.

Reporting into the Account Director you will be in charge of the heads of service, wider operational teams and key specialist subcontractors.

The role will lead on client relationships related to technical delivery and will be responsible for the legal, safe and compliant delivery of our contractual obligations. This role will work with the customer and other key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, value for money and ultimately customer satisfaction.

While we are looking for a strong technical professional with robust knowledge in the full range of Hard FM – Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Asbestos, Asset Management to the ISO 55,0001 and also BIM, the key thread is the strategic management of a multitude of moving parts to ensure seamless engineering delivery.

Actions will include:

  • Deliver our technical services, as per the ISS strategy with brilliant operating basics – safe, legal and compliant.
  • Maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and client expectations
  • Monitor and maintain adherence to ISS and industry compliance in all areas within the designated responsibilities.
  • Lead on the delivery and ongoing development of our technical services delivery as a whole incorporating all technical workstreams.
  • Act as the Account directors guide and advisor for all technical matters including acting as the deputy duty holder
  • Identify asset data improvement and life cycle opportunities under a continuous improvement delivery.
  • Maximise additional revenue opportunities including pipeline feed for project work, customer investment and new opportunities.
  • Protect ISS from technical risk including any revenue leakage or margin impact.
  • To make significant contributions to the long-term strategy of the service delivery model.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in a commercially responsible way; own and deliver on your budgets and financial targets.
  • Ensure all relevant periodic reporting, audits and required paperwork is completed to match client timelines as well as our internal measures
  • Ensure succession plans are in place for key positions within your service functions to meet the expectations of customers and all relevant stakeholders in the business.
  • To work co-operatively with other business sectors and support functions within the ISS to promote and facilitate the achievement of company and corporate objectives

We need from you:

  • A clear, and strong engineering qualification plus wide encompassing knowledge of Hard FM
  • Extensive experience in overseeing Hard FM delivery across a major account
