Store Manager (12-Month Maternity Cover) – Fashion Accessories | Watford

We are looking for a passionate and commercially driven Store Manager to lead a busy retail store in Watford on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Store Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step into their first Store Manager appointment, looking to develop leadership experience within a supportive and successful retail environment.

The Role

As Store Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, leading and developing a team of 12 colleagues while driving sales performance through exceptional customer service and strong operational standards.

You will create an engaging shopping experience, inspire your team to achieve results, and ensure the store consistently delivers high standards across selling, service, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of 12 to achieve sales and service goals
  • Drive a strong selling culture focused on customer engagement and conversion
  • Deliver excellent customer service standards at all times
  • Manage store performance, KPIs, and commercial results
  • Maintain high visual merchandising and operational standards
  • Coach and support team development through regular feedback and training
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and compliance with company procedures

About You

  • Current Store Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready for progression
  • Background in fashion, accessories, or customer-focused retail environments
  • Passion for selling and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Strong leadership and people development skills
  • Commercially aware with a hands-on management style
  • Positive, energetic, and results-driven approach

The Brand

You will be joining a privately owned and successful fashion accessories retailer with approximately 35 stores across the UK, known for its strong performance and supportive culture.
