Software Engineering Manager

We’re hiring a senior technology leader (Director) to take full ownership of a global Market Data platform powering front-office trading across multiple asset classes

This is a high-impact role, leading strategy, architecture, and delivery of low-latency market data services used by traders and quants globally.

You’ll lead a team of engineers, shape the future of the platform, and act as the key technology partner to the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the strategy, architecture, and delivery of a real-time market data platform
• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team
• Partner directly with trading desks and quant teams
• Drive platform evolution (including cloud/hybrid transformation)
• Manage key vendor relationships (Bloomberg, LSEG, ICE)
• Ensure performance, resilience, and scalability across a global environment

What we’re looking for

• Deep, hands on experience in market data technology within a front-office trading environment
• Strong understanding of how market data underpins trading across asset classes
• Proven background leading engineering teams, with a technical foundation (development or architecture)
• Expertise across real-time data platforms (e.g. Bloomberg B-Pipe, Refinitiv, Kafka, Solace)
• Ability to operate credibly with traders, quants, and senior stakeholders

Please note: this is a specialist role. We’re specifically looking for candidates with deep market data expertise and front-office exposure, generalist infrastructure or non-trading backgrounds won’t be a fit.
