Salary

Up to £54,000 depending on experience.

Dynamic (hybrid) working

3-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification.

Security Clearance

British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations may apply. After offer, all successful candidates must obtain SC clearance, managed by MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Systems Architect to design the Mission Planning system for the next generation of strike weapons across air and maritime domains.

What we need from you

  • Experience in systems architecture and using Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Proficiency with:
    • Rhapsody or equivalent modelling tools
    • Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or equivalent configuration control tools
    • DOORS Next Gen or equivalent requirements management tool
  • Solid understanding of SysML and architectural principles
  • Desire to work within a complex problem space across product lines
  • Ability to communicate and engage positively with cross-functional teams
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Mission Planning (useful but not essential)

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with design teams and help evolve and capture the system design using MBSE principles.
  • Generate and review architecture artefacts.
  • Contribute to engineering milestones and key design reviews.
  • Ensure best model practice is followed and design is complete, coherent and drives development.
  • Work with the wider Weapon Systems teams to ensure traceability.
  • Drive commonality and re-use across product lines.
