The Role
As a Delivery Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of one or more small to medium-sized digital deliveries, accountable for achieving agreed outcomes across scope, time, cost, quality, and risk. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, embed agile and lean practices, and actively remove impediments to enable effective and sustainable delivery.
You will engage directly with clients and stakeholders, balancing delivery priorities with user needs, technical constraints, and commercial considerations. You are expected to operate independently, making day-to-day delivery decisions and proactively managing risks, dependencies, and delivery partners.
At this level, you are responsible not just for delivery execution, but for ensuring that delivery outcomes align with broader organisational and programme objectives.
There is a requirement to be onsite in our central Leeds office 1 to 2 times a week. This can be discussed with your manager for full flexibility and can be restructured to best suit your needs, as well as some travel to client site (specific to client needs and requirements).
Experience
These are some of the skills we are looking for in candidates. Don’t worry about having a full house, we will still be interested in a chat!
· Demonstrable experience leading small to medium-sized digital deliveries end to end, applying agile and lean practices to deliver measurable outcomes, as an Agile Project or Delivery Manager.
· Hands-on experience delivering product-centric digital services using user-centred design and modern delivery practices.
· Practical experience leading multidisciplinary teams and embedding DevSecOps and continuous improvement principles.
· Accountability for the successful delivery of workstreams or discrete digital projects from initiation to business as usual.
· A solid understanding of agile and lean delivery practices, applied confidently in hybrid organisational contexts.
· Experience managing delivery partners and suppliers within agreed commercial and delivery frameworks.
· A working knowledge of financial management related to project delivery.
· The ability to communicate clearly and responsibly with project leadership and client stakeholders.
· Preferable experience of working in a consultancy firm.
· Preferable experience of working in policy-led environments and dealing with demanding stakeholders.
Resourcing Process
All screening calls and virtual interviews will be recorded as part of our processes. If successful in application, you will be asked to confirm pronouns and make us aware of any reasonable adjustments you have, so we can ensure you are set up for success.
There will be a screening call with our Talent Partner, a first stage interview (virtual) and final stage (in person), with a short presentation involved. Our time to hire is typically 4 weeks from advertising but may go outside of this due to Bank Holidays, AL and client engagements.
