SAP PI Consultant – Remote and Telford or Worthing

Rate: £481 per day inside IR35, contract 6+ months.

Location & Availability

Onsite in Telford or Worthing 2 days per week; remote otherwise.

Security Clearance

Must be SC eligible.

Job Description

Leading and developing SAP PI integration solutions to meet functional requirements.

• Design and develop PI solutions using SAP PI/PO 7.3 and ABAP R/3.
• Create and manage SOAP and REST APIs, including OAS, and other adapters (File, JDBC, IDOC).
• Develop ABAP proxies and user‑defined Java functions.
• Write unit test plans, technical documentation, and support functional and testing teams.
• Lead the team, escalating issues, risks and managing change.
• Deliver work within agreed timescales, cost and quality criteria, and provide progress reports.
• Participate in process improvement and quality compliance.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• SAP PI/PO 7.3 and SAP ABAP R/3
• Hands‑on PI development (SOAP, REST, OAS)
• PI integration and interface design/configuration
• ABAP proxy development

Desirable Technical Skills

• PI interface development of APIs
• User‑defined Java functions
• Knowledge of SAP TRM, PSCD, CRM, FI and HR models
• UNIX, Webmethods, Microsoft Office, SAP CTS+

Business Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Problem‑solving and creative thinking
• Proactive teamwork and willingness to learn

Other Information

• Role suitable for UK‑based staff only.
• SC not mandatory but may be required later.
