An excellent opportunity has arisen for a HGV Mechanic to join a well-established engineering business based in Hillsborough.
This HGV Mechanic role will suit an experienced HGV Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Auto Electrician or Service Engineer looking to join a busy workshop environment working on specialist vehicles and distribution tractors.

The Role:
Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on distribution tractors and specialist vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and auto-electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of accident-damaged equipment and produce accurate repair reports. Interpret technical manuals, fault descriptions and engineering documentation. Complete all workshop paperwork and service documentation accurately.
The Requirements:
City & Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Mechanical & Electronic Systems or equivalent qualification. Valid UK driving licence. Experience as a Workshop Service Engineer, HGV Technician, Vehicle Technician, Auto Electrician or similar. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems. Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and workshop best practices. Experience working on HGVs, specialist vehicles, trailers or plant equipment would be advantageous.
