About This Opportunity

The Head of Business Development & Sales is responsible for performance and growth of the Business Development and Sales activities for the IGS2 UK Business Unit, with an annual order target exceeding $100M. The role leads a team, mentors staff, and drives strategic vision, achieving profitable growth and expanding the customer base in Intelligence and Cyber markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Business Development and Sales activities to achieve the Annual Operating Plan and drive the 3-year joint strategic planning cycle.
  • Mentor and support the BD & Sales team to achieve profitable growth in alignment with company vision and values.
  • Set and achieve the Business Unit’s P&L, annual order bookings and pipeline generation.
  • Grow new routes to market, develop opportunities, and support the Sales team in closing key opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with key customer representatives, industry partners and internal stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of customer requirements and user needs across the portfolio.
  • Proven market‑driven approach with a track record of developing winning campaigns, capture plans and closing complex prospects.
  • Established network of customer and industry contacts at senior levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members for success.
  • Willingness to travel globally and work in a team of professionals.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.

Additional Skills and Experience

  • International experience in Government and Commercial sectors, preferably Five Eyes and Europe.
  • Full project lifecycle experience and use of BD tools such as CRM and SAP.
  • Financial and commercial acumen to drive progress against plans and pipelines.
  • Self‑motivated mentor with passion for customer and business needs.
  • Technical and computer literacy.
  • Degree in Business, Science, Engineering, HNC/HND or equivalent.
