The Role
This is an exciting and varied entry-level role, giving you the opportunity to work hands-on across a breadth of different verticals (optics, electronics, vacuum), our products and help to create an optimised lab environment to turbo-charge our capabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Support small batch production Aquark products
- Support Research and development into Quantum technologies
- Source components and build supplier relationships
- Help maintain a tidy and safe work place
- Write documentation for production and training
- Promote Aquark through industrial and academic meetings
- Support writing of journal articles and white papers
- Develop internal production processes
- Help design and build optical, electronics and vacuum systems
- Write code for automation and analysis
- Test and evaluation of products and subsystems
What We Are Looking For
- Undergrad degree in physics or engineering (2.2 and above)
- Keen and experienced with laboratory experimental work
- Fast learner and self motivated/pro-active
- Experience in coding for control and data analysis (ideally Python)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Tidy and organised
- Comfortable with working on small components
- Team player
