Site Manager – Southend, £41-48k + Car Allowance

PT Renewables is recruiting two experienced Site Managers for a major infrastructure project in Southend, delivering a £11.5m scheme including bridge demolition, earthworks, drainage, roundabout construction, traffic signal installation, and junction remodelling.

Location: Bulls Lodge Quarry, Chelmsford (within 1 hour of Southend town centre)

Hours: 40 per week, mainly Monday to Friday (overtime for weekends)

Team: 6 people

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations across multiple live projects, ensuring work is safe, on time, and within budget.
  • Support project planning, programming, and delivery strategies.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on cost estimates, forecasting, and subcontractor management.
  • Lead and coordinate all on-site activities with strict HSEQ compliance.
  • Contribute to ECI processes, including buildability reviews and risk assessments.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Monitor progress, manage subcontractors, and maintain accurate site records.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on infrastructure, highways, or major civils projects.
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, and civil engineering principles.
  • Experience supporting planning and working with commercial teams on cost management.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • HNC in Construction or Civil Engineering.

This is a hands‑on role for experienced Site Managers ready to take ownership of a high‑profile infrastructure project.
