Electrical Construction Manager (LVAP) – Leading Main Contractor – Major Projects in Cambridge

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager (LVAP – Electrical) to take ownership of Low Voltage Authorised Person duties during the services construction phase of a major project. This role is ideal for a hands-on electrical professional with strong site leadership skills, a safety-first mindset, and proven experience managing live electrical environments.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the LVAP during the electrical services construction phase
• Coordinating all electrical site activities, inspections, and livening-up procedures in line with strict safety and compliance standards
• Proactively managing health & safety across electrical works
• Collaborating with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver programme and quality objectives
• Day-to-day site coordination and planning to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently
• Reviewing and managing RAMS, ITPs, permits, consents, and authorisations
• Overseeing testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical installations

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience operating in an AP / LVAP role on construction projects
• Strong understanding of electrical testing, commissioning, and energisation
• LVAP training completed and kept up to date
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Minimum 5 years’ practical electrical experience
• SMSTS (or equivalent H&S qualification)
• Confident working in live environments with multiple work packages and stakeholders
