The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results‑oriented individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager. In this role you will be responsible for delivering large-scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Deliver large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and provide weekly reports on project risks & issues to senior management, directors and vice presidents.
- Lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams including design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real‑estate to ensure timely delivery.
- Drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop delivery tools, and support financial budgeting.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in building power substations working with utilities and understanding their environment and culture.
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit trade‑offs across a strategic portfolio and managing international teams is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
- Ability to speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian.
- Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.
- Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators.
