Apprentice Project Engineer- Controls Manchester. You will be based out of our Manchester office however customer visits will be required all over the UK specially in the North and Midlands area. You need to be flexible to travel and stay away from home.

To get on this prestigious apprenticeship programme we require 5’s or C’s in your GCSE English and Maths. Please include your certificates in your application alongside your UK Driving licence.

We’re talking all the complex software and hardware that controls the electrical and mechanical systems within a building. Think Thermostats but on a far more complex scale. These systems control lighting, security, fire safety, HVAC and can help reduce carbon emissions and increase operational efficiency. You’ll be working on big projects including hospitals and government buildings.

What You’ll Be Up To:

  • You’ll deliver BMS projects for industrial, commercial, and residential markets
  • Consulting with clients to enhance their buildings, reduce running costs and emissions, and improve overall performance
  • You’ll gain a solid understanding of the main areas our systems interact with, including HVAC controls, Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Services Systems
  • Your mentor will guide you in fundamental BMS engineering principles, teaching you innovative methods to lower energy costs, reduce emissions, and improve building efficiency
  • You’ll create detailed project plans and for various systems, ensuring compliance with industry and legislative standards
