An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join a highly regarded, independent planning and development consultancy in their Birmingham office. The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering planning advice to a wide range of clients, including developers, housebuilders, investors, and public sector organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
- Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments
- Developing planning strategies and providing policy advice
- Producing development plan representations
- Supporting projects through all stages of the planning process, including Environmental Impact Assessments
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders

About You
- Degree qualified (minimum 2:1 or equivalent), ideally with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant RTPI/RICS-accredited subject
- Working towards or holding MRTPI (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
- Interest in business development, innovation, and the planning sector
