The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable manufacturing business in Leominster that design and produce a signature collection of high-quality fixtures. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented Quality Control Technician to join a growing organisation where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement are central to operations.

This role will suit an individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards, has a strong eye for detail, and is confident working collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams to ensure products consistently meet specification and customer expectations.

You will play a key role in safeguarding product integrity through structured inspection, testing, and quality assurance processes, while contributing to the ongoing development of quality systems and best practice across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection and testing of raw materials, in‑process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Measure dimensions, assess functionality, and identify defects or non‑conformances in line with quality procedures
  • Accurately record inspection results, test data, and quality metrics within internal systems
  • Prepare clear and concise reports to support trend analysis, root cause identification, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Maintain and calibrate testing and measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to relevant quality and regulatory frameworks, including ISO standards where applicable
  • Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
  • Support the training of production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Contribute to maintaining a strong culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Working knowledge of quality control methodologies such as Six Sigma, ISO standards, or similar frameworks
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications
  • Experience using quality management systems and recording inspection and testing data
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards
