We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our ever expanding team! We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various different service user types including children and the elderly.
The role of a care assistant is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, with many opportunities to develop within your career at Abbots including paid diplomas and job progression.
We are currently recruiting for community care assistants to join our teams providing care in peoples’ own homes in the St Albans and surrounding areas. We are particularly looking for individuals who are looking to work between 4pm-10pm.
Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary as paid comprehensive training is provided by our in-house training department.
Requirements
- Full driving licence with access to your own car
- Right to work in the UK
Pay & Hours
Pay rates are £13.00 per hour on weekdays and £16.00 per hour on weekends. Working hours are between 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm, including alternate weekends. We offer zero hour contracts, part‑time and full‑time contracts of up to 40 hours per week with an annual salary of £26,665.60 (£12.82 per hour).
Responsibilities
- Providing support and care for our service users within their own homes
- Supporting and assisting with personal care
- Preparing meals and associated domestic tasks
- Administering medication
- Supporting your service user with their hobbies and social interests
