An established organisation is looking to appoint a Lead Software Developer to help modernise and utilise the broader team across newer technologies.

This is a key role within the development function, combining hands‑on technical delivery with team leadership. You’ll act as a technical expert, guiding developers, shaping best practice, and introducing new technologies to ensure the team continues to evolve and deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the IT Development Manager in leading and mentoring a development team, including oversight of day‑to‑day activities and resource allocation.
• Design, develop, and deliver enterprise‑level software solutions aligned to business goals.
• Provide technical leadership across development practices, including code quality, architecture, and tooling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and business teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive best practice across Agile delivery, testing, and DevOps processes.

Skills & Experience

• Strong background in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Experience with JavaScript, APIs, HTML/CSS, and modern development practices.
• Proven ability to lead or mentor development teams within a structured environment.
• Experience delivering enterprise‑scale applications, including architecture, integrations, and security.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
