Overview
Repairs Supervisor (Social Housing) – Location: Tamworth | Salary: £34,000-£38,000 | Full-time – 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Project Supervision: Oversee day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs, ensuring all works meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations
- Resource Management: Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to maximise efficiency and meet service targets
- Client & Resident Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for residents, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service
- Quality Control: Carry out inspections and monitor works completed by direct operatives and subcontractors
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all H&S policies, conducting audits and addressing risks promptly
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve on-site issues, escalating where necessary
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates to management and clients
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support operatives and subcontractors, promoting a productive working environment
- Cost Control: Assist in managing budgets and ensuring work is delivered within financial constraints
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required
Qualifications
- CSCS Gold Card (NVQ Level 3 minimum)
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height & Scaffold Inspection training
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Strong IT skills
- Proven experience supervising repairs or maintenance works (ideally within social housing)
