Overview

Repairs Supervisor (Social Housing) – Location: Tamworth | Salary: £34,000-£38,000 | Full-time – 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Project Supervision: Oversee day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs, ensuring all works meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations
  • Resource Management: Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to maximise efficiency and meet service targets
  • Client & Resident Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for residents, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Quality Control: Carry out inspections and monitor works completed by direct operatives and subcontractors
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all H&S policies, conducting audits and addressing risks promptly
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve on-site issues, escalating where necessary
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates to management and clients
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support operatives and subcontractors, promoting a productive working environment
  • Cost Control: Assist in managing budgets and ensuring work is delivered within financial constraints
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Qualifications

  • CSCS Gold Card (NVQ Level 3 minimum)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
  • Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height & Scaffold Inspection training
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Strong IT skills
  • Proven experience supervising repairs or maintenance works (ideally within social housing)

You will be an experienced supervisor with a strong background in responsive repairs, capable of managing both direct labour and subcontractors. You’ll have excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services to residents.
