Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)
Location: London (City) (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office )
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + benefits
A leading Financial Services organisation is embarking on an ambitious growth and transformation journey and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join its expanding team.
Reporting into the FP&A function, you will combine core financial planning and analysis with strong business partnering, advanced financial modelling, and a focus on automation and reporting improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long‑term financial plans
- Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
- Provide high‑quality insight to support senior leadership decisions
- Develop and enhance financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs
- Act as a key finance partner to senior and operational stakeholders
- Present complex financial information clearly to non‑finance audiences
- Support business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive finance processes
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A systems, tools, and ways of working
- Build and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
- Use advanced Excel and analytical techniques to enhance insight and decision‑making
- Collaborate with IT and business teams on system improvements and data integration
- Support finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives
Key Skill and Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- Proven experience in an FP&A or Financial Analyst role within Financial Services is essential
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance reporting
- Demonstrable experience partnering with senior, non‑financial stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability
