Prospero Teaching is working closely with local councils, SEND services, and education providers across Cumbria to deliver tailored, one-to-one support for young people who are not currently in full-time education. We are currently recruiting experienced Tutors to deliver English and Maths tuition for a Year 10 student in the Penrith area.
About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Tutor to support a Year 10 student with SEMH needs who is currently not engaging with education. The student is a Child in Care who has been permanently excluded from mainstream education and previously attended a PRU before moving out of the area.
They currently have access to online tuition, however engagement has been extremely limited. The local authority is therefore seeking face-to-face tutoring support to help rebuild trust, engagement, and confidence in learning.
The role will involve providing structured, one-to-one support in English and Maths, with sessions delivered in person at a suitable local venue or agreed setting.
We are looking for tutors who are patient, resilient, and skilled at working with young people who may initially be reluctant to engage in education.
