Job Description:

The client is a globally recognised design studio, celebrated for its distinctive approach to materiality, craftsmanship, and narrative-driven design. Working across fine art, collectible design, luxury interiors, and high-profile collaborations, the studio delivers both self-initiated pieces and bespoke commissions for an international private and public audience.

This Senior Designer role will play a key part in shaping both independent and commissioned projects, leading work from early-stage concept through to fabrication and final delivery. It is an idea-led, material-focused position suited to a designer with a strong creative voice, technical depth, and a genuine passion for making.

They are seeking a designer with a strong background in furniture, product, or 3D form-led design to join the team. The role would suit someone with a highly developed, narrative-led approach who is capable of taking ideas from concept through to beautifully resolved, finished pieces, all produced within their UK workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of projects from concept through to production and final delivery
  • Translate conceptual thinking into resolved, manufacturable designs
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different stages
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the Creative Director and Head of Design
  • Support and guide the wider design team, contributing to overall creative direction
  • Engage with clients, collaborators, and suppliers where required
  • Ensure all work meets the studio’s high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and innovation
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Required Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience within a relevant creative industry
  • Exceptional hand sketching and visual communication skills
  • A portfolio showcasing demonstrable experience in furniture design or sculptural, form-led projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Suite, ZBrush, Blender, and AutoCAD
  • Proven ability to take projects from concept through to production-ready outcomes
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring or guiding design teams
  • Strong creative flair with the ability to generate innovative, compelling ideas
  • Deep understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and production techniques
  • Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a “hands-on” approach

The role is based at the studio in Southeast London and is a full-time, studio-based position, requiring five days on site.
