Job Role Gas Oil Engineer Location: North & South Down areas Working Hours: 40 hours Responsible: Contracts Manager JOB DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARY Are you a Gas or Oil Heating Engineer and looking for your next opportunity? CTS-Cardo are seeking to recruit additional Electrical Inspection & Test Engineers for new contracts in the Belfast and South Down Areas. What we offer: 30 days annual leave Pension scheme Bereavement leave Death in service benefit Birthday day off Health Shield access to 24/7 counselling and wellbeing support MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out gas and oil servicing Response maintenance as and when required Communicate with management and Quantity Surveyor Itemize the work to be carried out in customers dwellings and premises Carry out the actual work to the high-quality standards that the organization expects Uphold Data Protection Policies Travel across North & South Down as required Undertake any other duty deemed necessary by Management, to ensure the efficient running of the business Health & Safety: Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed Observe & follow all manual handling practices QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Suitable Candidates must process: Gas Safe and/or Oftec qualifications NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or equivalent Must be eligible for OFTEC and On Gas safe Register Completed oil training courses Evidence of gas courses either CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, MET1 or others Completed and up to date Gas qualifications and either be gas certified Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety Training Full UK Driving License Experience in construction or plumbing and heating industry Attributes/Skills: The successful candidate should: Be capable of working on own initiative Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail Good communication and organizational skills Have a good timekeeping and attendance record Have the ability to work with a wide range of people Be a good team player Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal directions Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards assigned tasks Be reliable & committed Have ability to work to deadlines Participate in overtime when required (including weekends) Have ability to take on new skills Have a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniques In addition, As the majority of the work will be conducted in Public Sector or Housing Associations, we will require a recent Enhanced Access NI certificate CTS will perform a Access NI check as part of the on-boarding process. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an individual from employment.
