Technology Risk & Assurance Analyst

Overview

Astrum Search is delighted to be supporting a leading financial services technology and quantitative research organisation where engineering, data science, and advanced analytics come together to solve complex problems in global markets.

You will build an understanding of how complex systems are built, integrated, and run. Working closely with engineering and delivery teams to assess real world technology performance and identify risks and opportunities that inform senior decisions.

This is a hands-on technical role covering cloud, data, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines, and is not a traditional audit role.

Responsibilities

• Support assurance reviews across cloud platforms, applications, data systems, and infrastructure environments
• Analyse how systems are designed, built, and integrated across complex engineering landscapes
• Assist in reviewing CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and change/release management practices
• Evaluate operational risks across APIs, third-party dependencies, and system integrations
• Support assessments of system resilience, security controls, and operational stability
• Use data and analytical tools to support structured insight generation

Qualifications

• Experience in technology, consulting, data, engineering, or risk-related roles
• Strong analytical mindset with curiosity about how systems and platforms operate end-to-end
• Exposure to software engineering, cloud environments, or data analysis tools
• STEM background preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, etc.)
• Interested in building a career at the intersection of technology, systems thinking, and risk insight
