Apprenticeship – 37.5 hours per week, flexible working.
The Medical School team have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Block Administrator. We are looking for a competent and enthusiastic administrator with a track record of high-quality attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. You will need to be competent in MS IT packages. You will complete the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship alongside your role, to support your development.
The Apprenticeship programme will be delivered by an external NHS approved training provider within the organisation; interactive workshops, tutor support, and MKUH Apprenticeship Team assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and organisation of UBMS undergraduate medical students’ clinical placements and draw up timetables and/or a programme of placements.
- Identify and negotiate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff to arrange formal and bedside teaching sessions required for UBMS medical students.
- Organise the booking and arranging of rooms and set up equipment.
- Administer and monitor evaluation processes for teaching and provide pastoral support to students as required.
Qualifications
- Evidence of Maths and English GCSE passes (or equivalent).
- Minimum age 16 and resident in the UK or EEA for at least the past 3 years.
- Not in full‑time education at the time of starting the role.
- No previous pursuit of a similar or higher qualification (e.g., a degree in Business Administration).
