Systems Safety & Reliability Engineer Placement Student – Filton

Key Responsibilities

• Functional Safety – System Safety Assessment, analysing aircraft systems to identify failure modes and support the Design Office to ensure compliance.
• Continued Airworthiness – Provide safety assessments for in-service occurrences on all Airbus commercial aircraft for the fuel & inerting and landing gear systems.
• Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) – Conduct PRAs for Wheel and Tyre Failure and Fuel Tank Safety, influencing global aircraft design.
• Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA) – Inspect new designs and modifications digitally and physically to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Good systems engineering mindset.
• Keenness to learn and willingness to ask questions.
• Strong synthesis and writing skills.
• Flexibility.
• Rigour and organisation.
• Undertaking a degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Undergraduate status for the duration of the placement.
