Ready to Lead as an Associate Electrical Building Services Engineer?
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Associate Electrical Building Services Engineer to join a dynamic Building Services Engineering team. In this key role, you will deliver innovative and sustainable electrical design solutions across a range of projects, including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and bespoke developments. As an Associate, you will take ownership of the electrical engineering design from initial concept through to completion, leading a team and ensuring the quality and compliance of all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design across projects from concept to completion.
- Coordinate electrical engineering with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, and sustainability teams.
- Produce technical design deliverables, including power distribution, lighting, LV systems, fire alarms, data/communications, and EMC.
- Provide technical advice, optimise designs, and deliver value engineering solutions.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
- Support business development activities, including proposals and client engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status (e.g., CEng, IET, CIBSE membership).
- Extensive experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy or multi-disciplinary environment.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, standards, and sustainability targets.
- Proficiency in design tools and modelling software.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and collaborative skills.
