The opportunity: Ready for your next career move? Join us as a Distribution Governance and Quality Consultant in UK Life Protection. You’ll shape how we work with distribution partners, drive strong customer outcomes and protect Zurich’s commercial interests.
In this hands-on role, you’ll strengthen intermediary risk management across commission, clawback, debt and misrepresentation, using our governance frameworks to guide complex internal and external relationships. You’ll collaborate with teams across Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Operations to uphold best practice and meet all regulatory standards.

What will you be doing?
As part of the Retail Distribution and Governance Team, you’ll strengthen governance and control within Retail Protection. You’ll ensure that the risk management framework and control standards are embedded in day‑to‑day practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze large and sensitive data sets to make risk‑based decisions.
- Design, implement and manage Governance and DQM controls, addressing gaps and strengthening control effectiveness.
- Embed customer‑focused governance and DQM processes by partnering with distribution teams.
- Develop, review and maintain Governance and DQM policies aligned to regulatory and organisational standards.
- Promote a strong control culture through education, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor Governance KPIs, produce reporting and recommend targeted risk‑mitigation actions.
- Collaborate with key distribution partners to improve business quality and address behavioural issues.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by staying informed on industry best practice, emerging risks and regulatory change.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Distribution, Risk, Compliance, Fraud and Operations to influence a proactive risk management approach.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can analyse information from multiple sources to make strong, risk‑based decisions. You’ll work with data from Zurich systems, open‑source media, and external partners—including distributors, product providers and industry forums. If you’re motivated by improving customer outcomes while protecting Zurich’s profitability through effective commission exposure management, this role is for you.
You should bring solid knowledge of risk management, compliance, governance and UK financial regulation, along with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Power BI is essential.
