Data Analyst

Contract: IT; Location: London, E14 9SH; Hours: 37.5; Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months.

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our UK&I Digital & Data Hub, where you will play a key role in analysing data, developing data solutions, and providing visibility that enables data‑driven decision‑making. This role spans a wide range of performance and client KPI data across multiple operating systems, supporting operational teams, account teams, and central functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues by engaging with data owners.
  • Apply analytical techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships in data.
  • Translate complex findings into meaningful insights that support business decisions.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored analytical outputs.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance standards, policies, and security requirements.
  • Track KPIs and service metrics to assess business performance and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data models and wider data products.
  • Investigate anomalies and unexpected trends, providing evidence‑based recommendations.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Proven experience using Tableau for data analysis and visualisation.
  • Experience with Power BI for dashboarding and reporting (ideal).
  • Strong experience working within complex business structures and across multiple operating systems.
  • Demonstrable ability to work with large data volumes and extract meaningful insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical requirements and insights to non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing queries, joining tables, and optimising performance.
  • Experience in data modelling (beneficial but not essential).
  • Awareness of data governance, data quality standards, lineage, security, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical thinking, root‑cause analysis skills, attention to detail, and business acumen.
