The successful candidate will take ownership of identifying, shaping and advancing new lending opportunities from first contact through to credit approval and completion. You will maintain a strong footprint in the market, working closely with developers, sponsors, brokers and advisors, while collaborating internally with underwriting, credit and legal colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new development finance, bridge and transitional loan opportunities across the UK
- Establish and deepen relationships with developers, sponsors, brokers and wider intermediaries
- Lead early‑stage deal analysis, including feasibility assessment and initial structuring
- Shape and negotiate terms covering pricing, covenants, collateral and overall structure
- Prepare and present proposals to internal investment committees
- Partner with underwriting and legal teams to execute deals through to closing
- Maintain a strong, visible presence in the market through networking and industry engagement
- Build a long‑term origination franchise and contribute to the continued growth of the platform
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a commercially minded originator with 5‑12+ years’ experience in real estate finance, ideally from:
- Real estate debt funds
- Development finance or bridge lenders
- Structured finance teams within banks or alternative lenders
- Real estate investment platforms with credit exposure
You should bring:
- A demonstrable track record in originating and closing development or transitional loans
- An active network of developers, sponsors and intermediaries
- Experience structuring senior, stretch‑senior or mezzanine real estate debt
- Strong commercial judgement and an ability to create tailored lending solutions
- A hands‑on, entrepreneurial approach to building relationships and generating deal flow
