Red & Blue Team (Offensive & Defensive Training)

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cyber Security Instructor to join a leading cyber academy delivering elite, hands‑on training across both offensive and defensive security disciplines. This is a rare opportunity to shape the next generation of cyber professionals by delivering immersive, real‑world training in Red Team, Blue Team, CTF and DFIR environments.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background across offensive and or defensive security who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and building practical lab driven learning experiences.

  • Competitive base salary (dependent on experience)

The Role

You will join a team of expert instructors delivering advanced cyber training programmes. The position combines teaching, curriculum development, and hands‑on lab creation across both offensive and defensive domains.

You will work within highly realistic simulation environments, using modern technologies to deliver engaging, practical and scenario‑based learning.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

Deliver high quality, engaging training across Red Team and Blue Team disciplines, adapting content to different experience levels and learning styles.

Lab Development & Simulation

  • Design and build hands on labs and realistic cyber scenarios across both offensive and defensive use cases
  • Develop CTF challenges with varying levels of complexity
  • Create simulation environments to replicate real world attack and defence situations
  • Develop and continuously improve course content, lesson plans, and training materials
  • Ensure alignment with current threat landscape and industry best practice
  • Provide one to one coaching and support to students
  • Assess performance through practical exercises and provide structured feedback
  • Support preparation for technical interviews, certifications, and competitions

Knowledge Sharing

  • Contribute to internal research, whitepapers, and technical content
  • Participate in workshops, webinars, and industry events

For Red Trainers (Offensive Security Instruction)

  • Teach Red Team methodologies, including exploitation, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and adversary simulation
  • Deliver CTF-based learning and competitive exercises
  • Instruct on reverse engineering, binary exploitation, and vulnerability analysis
  • Guide students in the use of tools such as debuggers, disassemblers, and emulators

For Blue Trainers (Defensive Security Instruction)

  • Deliver training on cyber defence, incident response, and threat detection
  • Teach DFIR methodologies, including host, network and disk forensics
  • Provide instruction on malware analysis, behavioural analysis, and mitigation techniques
  • Train students on SIEM, SOC, XDR and threat hunting practices

Technical Skills & Experience

Strong hands‑on experience in either or both of the following areas

Offensive Security:

  • Red Teaming, penetration testing, and adversary simulation
  • Reverse engineering and binary exploitation (Linux and Windows)
  • CTF challenge creation and participation
  • Vulnerability research and secure coding practices

Defensive Security

  • Incident response and threat detection
  • Digital forensics across host, network, and disk
  • Malware analysis and reverse engineering
  • Experience with SIEM, SOC tooling, XDR, and threat hunting

Core Technical Knowledge

  • Operating systems including Windows, Linux and Kali
  • Networking fundamentals and protocols
  • Scripting or programming experience (Python preferred)

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity across offensive and or defensive domains
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering training or developing instructional material is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring
  • Industry certifications
  • Experience teaching classroom‑based courses
