My client, a well-established commercial vehicle maintainer is actively seeking to add a fully skilled, experienced and qualified Chassis Engineer to their team.

Chassis Engineer Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working as a vehicle mechanic or chassis engineer, ideally with commercial vehicles
• Strong understanding of light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
• Familiarity working with manufacturers such as Iveco, Mercedes, Renault, Ford, and Nissan
• Capable of completing MOT preparation work to a high standard
• Solid diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), are advantageous

Chassis Engineer General Duties

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on 3.5‑tonne commercial vehicles
• Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and chassis‑related issues
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
• Carry out repairs on braking, suspension, steering, and underbody systems
• Use diagnostic equipment to support fault‑finding when necessary
• Deliver all work to a high standard within agreed deadlines
• Keep accurate and up-to-date service and repair documentation
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain workshop standards
