The Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of a large‑scale processing facility, ensuring safe and compliant plant performance. The role forms part of the site leadership team, maintaining operational control within a safety‑critical environment.
- Managing operational teams, overseeing plant activities and ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.
- Delivering consistent performance through monitoring key operational targets, analysing data and implementing improvements to optimise reliability and efficiency.
- Coordinating planned and unplanned activities with maintenance and engineering teams, resolving operational issues and ensuring consistent execution of operating procedures.
- Managing departmental budgets and cost control, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Leading and developing operational personnel, ensuring a structured and disciplined approach.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience within complex process or power generation environments.
- Strong technical understanding of large‑scale processing facilities.
- Ability to maintain safe and consistent operations in a safety‑critical environment.
- Leadership skills for developing and managing teams.
- Financial acumen for cost control and budget management.
