Project Manager

Responsibilities

• To perform the role of Project Manager for specified projects providing a full turnkey service from design, development (including drawing and manufacturing detail), manufacture, delivery and installation (if required) to our clients on time and within budget.
• To co‑ordinate relevant project documentation onto the company ERP system in accordance with Timbateq standards and commercially/contractually required by the client.
• To approve and/or instruct on buying requirements for the project to the in‑house buyer and be the interface between client need and the supply base – material suppliers and sub‑contractors / installers as appropriate.
• To manage the Client relationship relating to all aspects of the project including attending Site Meetings as required.
• To conduct site surveys including final measurements, templating and construction detail to ensure production.
• To provide cost‑effective and efficient manufacturing methods for the products.
• To brief in‑house CAD designer and liaise with production to ensure CAD drawings are accurate and provide guidance on any manufacturing requirements.
• To work effectively in a team within business with effective communication and regular briefings on projects (including hand‑over meetings).
• To prepare all health and safety documentation and O&M manuals relevant to the project.
• To support buying of materials for any given project including the production of relevant CNC drawings and cutting lists for manufacturer for the project to optimise materials purchased.
• To ensure the reputation and good will of Timbateq is protected with the completion of projects to all parties’ satisfaction (including the support of other Timbateq projects, when necessary).
• To be accountable for the tracking of costs and ensuring over budget items / design hours are approved & funded by the client.
• To lead the post project profitability analysis review, demonstrating understanding of all costs associated with the project and being able to articulate variations from plan.
