GatenbySanderson is partnering with a small to medium-sized charity to appoint an Interim Human Resources Director for a period of six months. The role will commence in late April/early May and will be predominantly remote, with occasional travel required to London and the South.
The Role
The Interim Human Resources Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will have overall responsibility for the effective operation of the people function, providing leadership to the HR team, building capability, and strengthening the department.
Interim Key Priorities:
- Reviewing organisational policies and procedures to ensure they are robust, current, and fit for purpose
- Leading initiatives to strengthen and improve organisational culture
- Creating an open and inclusive dialogue that supports learning, development, and engagement
- Reviewing equality, diversity and inclusion practices to ensure they support the attraction and retention of a diverse workforce
The Person
We are seeking a CIPD Level 7+ qualified HR Director with proven experience leading a people function within a UK charity environment. You will bring strong performance management expertise and a demonstrable track record of leading and embedding cultural change. You will also have experience in:
- Managing complex employee relations issues, including grievances and dispute resolution
- Reviewing, developing, and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Delivering best-practice EDI initiatives
- Strategic workforce planning
