Job Description
Inventory & Waste Manager – Lead the European Inventory Planning team and drive sustainable improvements in inventory, inventory strategy and cash‑flow protection across our European operations.
Responsibilities
- End‑to‑End Inventory Target Setting & Coordination:
- Lead the comprehensive inventory target setting and coordination process.
- Ensure budget and target updates align with Finance, including deviation monitoring, analysis and bridge actions.
- Robust Inventory Governance & Compliance:
- Manage the Monthly Inventory Governance meeting, ensuring timely completion of actions across all stakeholders.
- Own stock boundary settings, including static/dynamic updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance of inventory control, target sign‑offs and adherence; present variations outside tolerance to relevant IBP forums for sign‑off.
- Capability Building & Process Optimisation:
- Lead the Inventory Optimisation Programme for Europe, delivering structured year‑on‑year improvements.
- Implement inventory segmentation in line with the E2E framework to deliver agile and focused inventory performance.
- Lead the Team:
- Manage and lead a direct team of Central Inventory Managers with dotted‑line responsibility into the Business Unit Inventory teams.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in inventory management, supply‑chain planning or a highly analytical role within a complex, global organisation.
- Demonstrated track record of driving significant and sustainable improvements in inventory metrics (e.g., DIOH, working capital).
- Deep expertise in end‑to‑end supply‑chain processes, inventory drivers and their financial implications.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, reporting and dashboard creation.
- Strong command of SAP APO (SNP, PPDS) and ECC; experience with BOTs or automation tools is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organisational levels.
- Proven ability to establish and manage robust governance frameworks and ensure compliance.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
